A

Aurelia Archipelago
A tropical island group where Paragon Bay is located. There are three main islands in the archipelago: Soleira, Lunaria and Stellara. Paragon Bay is primarily located on Soleira, but part of the Bayfront district and the district of Sanctuary is located on Lunaria and are connected to the rest of the city through a couple of large bridges. About 4 million people live on the three islands, the majority of them live in Paragon Bay. The climate is characterized by hot summers and mild rainy winters. Snow only happens on the mountains.

Aurora
Paragon Bay’s fifth district, known for its university, its street performers and its overall laidback and bohemian feel. One of the more peaceful districts in Paragon Bay, where supervillain attacks are fairly rare.

Aurora University
Paragon Bay’s largest university.

B

Bayfront
Paragon Bay’s ninth district. Bayfront is the largest, but also the most sparsely populated distict of Paragon Bay’s districts. It’s the only district that spans over two islands, with the larger Bayfront North on Soleira and the smaller, more peaceful Bayfront South on Lunaria.

Blackstone
Paragon Bay’s fourteenth and newest district, and by far the most dangerous one. Created by dark mystical beings during the Blackstone Invasion, as a dark mirrored image of Moonstone.

C

Caer Valor
The ancestral stronghold of the Blackthorne familly in Tir’Galdur. Was destroyed by Queen Vespara.

Caer Veythare
The ancestral stronghold and home of the Nyxwell family in Tir’Galdur.

Cantena
The third largest non-Paragon Bay town on the Aurelia archipelago, and the largest town on Stellara Island. Isolated from the rest of Aurelia to some degree, Cantena is known for being self-sufficient, with a strong farming and artisan community.

Celestial Monastery
One of the oldest buildings in Paragon Bay, located in Dragon’s Roost. A place of ancient wisdom and martial training.

Central Heights
Paragon Bay’s first district, the heart of Paragon Bay, and along with Starlight Views it makes up what is known as “Central Paragon.” Central Heights is where the city’s administrative and commercial centers are located. There are towering skyscrapers, high-end shopping centers, and luxury hotels. The district is known for its vibrant nightlife and bustling energy, attracting both locals and tourists alike. Westwood Tower is also located here.

Changeling Hospital
A hospital in Kingsmarch, the capital of Westhaven. In the old days it was also an orphanage for “changelings” (metahumans) who had either lost or been abandoned by their human families. Even though the term “changeling” is outdated, the hospital has kept the name out of tradition. The Protectors, the world’s oldest superhero team, was originally made up of orphans from Changeling Hospital.

Coven’s Refuge
The headquarters and sanctuary of the White Coven, located in the heart of Mystic Grove.

Crystal Seas
Paragon Bay’s sixth district. It used to be part of Bayfront, but was split apart from it after intense campaigning from the wealthy citizens. Crystal Seas is the second richest district of Paragon Bay, and by far the most popular district with tourists.

D

Darkwater Lake
The largest lake on Soleria, close by the Nightfall Mountains. Nightfall Penitentiary is located partially underneath it.

Dragon’s Roost
Paragon Bay’s eleventh district, the location of Inferno Tower and definitely the part of Paragon Bay that reflects Ecanria the most.

E

Ecanria
The world’s oldest nation; used to be a mighty empire but nowadays is only one single kingdom ruled by the Dark Lord Waric. Used to be the centre of innovation, magic and tech in the world, and though it has stagnated in modern times, it still counts as one of the Four Powerhouse Nations of the world. Home to several non-human sentients. Paragon Bay was founded by refugees from Ecanria, and while the cold war between the two nations is officially over, everyone knows that Waric still hates Paragoon Bay and wants to conquer it.

Embergate
The main street in Dragon’s Roost.

Emerald Hills
Paragon Bay’s fourth district and the richest district in the city, bar none. This is where the wealthy elite lives, with their gated communities, sprawling mansions, luxurious estates and wide boulevards.

Evershade University of the Arcane Arts
The biggest and most prestigious school of magic in the world. Located in the heart of Tir’Galdur, built into the branches of the The Tree of Eternity. It teaches  different fields of magical study: Sorcery (magic through innate, inborn gifts), Wizardry (magic through learning and scientific study) and Bardic Arts (magic through music and art).  Evershade prioritizes taking in Tir’Galdur citizens, with Tir’Galdur nobility automatically being accepted, but they also take in select students from Paragon Bay, provided that they have been approved and recommended by the White Coven.

G

Glacielle Manor
One of the largest manors and estates in Emerald Heights. and that’s saying something. It belongs to the Cavendish-Luxe family.

Gwarnastad
One of the largest cities in Norwynne. It’s said that it’s the closest city to Sable Academy.

H

Harmony Heights
Small town in Westhaven without much importance, except it’s where you find the Harmony Heights Academy of Performing Arts, where a handful of semi-famous actors were educated. It’s also the hometown of the superhero Blaze and former home of the mysterious Nightshift.

I

Inferno Tower
The largest tower in Dragon’s Roost, named for Kaldor’s famous riding dragon Inferno. Mara “Seraphim” Skyborn lives in her suite on the very top of the tower.

Iskarra
A decentralized island nation built on direct democracy, long-standing clan networks, and maritime trade. Iskarra is vibrant, multilingual, and socially egalitarian, with a high civic participation rate and a reputation for excellent disaster response.

K

Kaedryn
A dynamic and densely populated republic known for its world-class infrastructure, urban design, and forward-thinking social policies. Kaedryn is a culture of builders, educators, and inventors—proud of their public transport, clean energy systems, and beautiful, walkable cities. It’s not yet big or powerful enough to count as a “Powerhouse nation”, but a lot of people speculate that it’s only a matter of time.

Kingsmarch
The capital and largest city in Westhaven. Once the seat of a genuine world power; now “merely” a very large and powerful city with millions of inhabitants, one of the most diverse populations of any city in the world, and the home of 75% of the government of Westhaven. It’s also the home of the famous Changeling Hospital, the birthplace of the Kingsmarch Protectors, widely agreed to be the first ever superhero team.

L

Lunaria
The second largest island in the Aurelia Archipelago. Two (well one and a half) of Paragon Bay’s 14 districts are located here, otherwise much of the island is forested.

Lysara
A small kingdom to the East of Ecanria. Holds the distiction of being the only nation Lord Waric has never shown any interest in, neither for trade, relations or even coonquest. Rumours have it that Waric visited Lysara sometime after he had taken over Ecanria, and afterwards declared it “too boring and irrelevant to even bother with.”

M

Moonstone
Paragon Bay’s thirteenth district, and the smallest of the districts alongside Blackstone. Not the biggest business district in Paragon Bay, but home to the Wilde-Rose Industries, who have helped transform the district from a lower-income place with high crime rates to a far safer and more attractive place to live. The downside is that it’s right next to Blackstone…. and that for some reason it’s impossible to get a decent slice of pizza.

Mystic Grove
Paragon Bay’s seventh district. It’s shrouded in mystery and intrigue, with several hidden gardens and parks. Many of the mystical and magical heroes and villains of Paragon Bay operate here, as the district is the home to the Coven’s Refuge, a building only magic-users are allowed in. Mystic Grove is also known for its unique architecture and, surprisingly, its whimsical street art.

N

New Lakeport
A medium-sized city in Westhaven, home to Nexus Dynamics research lab (part of Project Eryss).

Nightfall Mountains
The only mountain range on the Aurelia Islands, covering much of the North part of Aurelia. The only place on the island where it snows in the winter. Both the Nightfall Penitentiary and the Zenith Institute are located in caverns in and underneath the mountains but miles apart — the Zenith Institute is closer to Silvercliff on the West Coast, while Nightfall Penitentiary is located near (and partially underneath) Darkwater Lake closer to the central North.

Nightfall Penitentiary
The supervillain prison. Located partially underneath the Nightfall Mountains and partially underneath Darkwater Lake; it’s a high-tech, high-security prison specifically for supervillains.

Norwynne
A federation of city-states linked by geothermal infrastructure and ancient trade routes. Known for its diplomacy, environmental technology, and quiet-but-effective foreign intelligence corps, as well as being the location where Sable Academy is located. Also famous for hard liquor and very weird poetry.

O

Oceandra
Possibly the largest, definitely most powerful nation in the world, and the greatest of the four “Powerhouse nations”. This is a fact. When Oceandra is still less prominent in world history than Ecanria, Tir’Galdur and Paragon Bay, that’s mostly because Oceandra lies on the ocean floor and only rarely concerns itself with what the surface-dwellers are up to.

P

Paragon Bay
A city-state on the Aurelia Arcipelago, and despite being home to less than three million people it’s still one of the “Powerhouse Nations” of the world. This is probably because it’s the home of a sizeable amount of the world’s supers. Paragon Pay is also called “The City of Supers” — at least that’s the name it wants to present. The rest of the world is more likely to call it “Supervillain Central”, for its number of supervillains and supervillain attacks.

Phoenix Heights
Paragon Bay’s tenth and second smallest district. Used to be named “Cinderfall,” but after it was destroyed in the Black Fire during the Blackstone Invasion and rebuilt by the Celestials, it was renamed “Phoenix Heights.” Phoenix Heights is home to many cutting-edge research facilities and hospitals.

Playwright’s Hub:
The “Theatre district” in Paragon Bay, located in the middle of the Starlight Views district.

R

Rainbow Lake
The biggest lake in Paragon Bay, located in Steelhaven. It’s the home of a small tribe of water nymphs who view themselves as “very urban” even if they only rarely come up to the surface.

  ___

S

Sable Academy
An academy somewhere in Norwynne (probably close to Gwarnastad, but nobody’s entirely sure) that educates and trains the finest bodyguards and personal guards in the world. It’s said that many a king and queen has been protected by guards from Sable Academy.

Sanctuary
Paragon Bay’s twelfth district, and apart from Bayfront South, this is the only district that’s located on Lunaria Island and not Soleira. Sanctuary has the smallest number of inhabitants of the districts and is known for its “small town” vibes.

Soleira
By far the largest island in the Aurelia Archpipelago. Thirteen (well, twelve and a half) of Paragon Bay’s fourteen districts are located here, as is a large amount of farmland, forests and even mountains.

Silvercliff
The largest town on the Aurelia Islands outside of Paragon Bay.  Being the town closest to the Zenith Institute, many scientists and their families live here.

Starlight Views
Paragon Bay’s second district, and along with Central Heights counted as part of “Central Paragon.” But where Central Heights is the place for government, administration, businesses and endless shopping, Starlight Views prides itself on being the “culture hub” of the city. This is where the Paragon Bay movie studios have their home, and it’s also where you’ll find the Playwright’s Hub (the “theatre district”) with its many theatres , show halls and of course the Westwood Performing Arts School.

Steelhaven
Paragon Bay’s third district, the second largest of the districts and by far the biggest residential area; from upper- to middle class citizens, and even a number of lower-class citizens in the more affordable housings. Plenty of businesses have their home here too. The district gets its name from the steel structures and factories that have been repurposed into apartment buildings. This is also where you find Rainbow Lake, the largest lake in Paragon Bay.

Stellara
The smallest island in the Aurelia Archpipelago. Where the other two islands are connected by bridges, Stellara can only be reached by boat. There are no large cities on this island, only a couple of small towns, the largest of which is Cantena.

Stormwatch
The second largest of the non-Paragon Bay towns on the Aurelia Archpipelago. Located on Lunaria, centred around Stormwatch Lighthouse.

T

Tir’Galdur
A kingdom, or more precisely a queendom, which is the world’s greatest centre for magic, mystery and myth. Tir’Galdur used to be part of the Westhaven Empire, and it was really when it declared its independence that the Westhaven Empire fell. Tir’Galdur has a strict social hierarchy with the noble elite on the top, any magic-users immediately underneath them, and the non-magical “mundies” at the very bottom. Tir’Galdur is also the home of Evershade University, the most prestigious magic universiity in the world.

V

Varnagard
The stronghold and home of Duchess Lucinda Duskvale of Tir’Galdur.

Virellen
An ancient desert state with a strong legal culture, rich philosophical traditions, and one of the oldest continuous universities in the world. Virellen is governed by a dual structure of elected officials and spiritual ethicists, and its people are known for intense debates, formal hospitality, and a love of complexity.

W

Westhaven
Democratic Kingdom and the the remnants of the Westhaven Empire. Home of the Protectors.

Westwood Tower
One of the largest and most iconic towers in Central Heights, Westwood Tower is said to be almost a small city within the city, with its with several hundred people living and working there. The upper levels belong to the Westwood family and has their luxury homes and suites (and there are several generations Westwood here!) but there are apartments, offices, cantinas, spas, even movie theatres and swimming pools.

Z

Zenith Institute
The largest research facility on the Aurelia Island; top secret (nobody outside even knows exactly what they are researching here) and located in gigantic caverns in the Western part of the Nightfall mountains, close to Silvercliff.
